Jennifer Berenguer, M.A., LDT/C
Jennifer Berenguer is a NJ certified Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant. Also certified in Special Education and Elementary Education, her experiences include more than 10 years experience in both public and private schools in NJ. She is also a Doctoral Candidate at Rowan University in the Educational Leadership department with a Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities and a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. As an active member of the Council for Exceptional Children, Jennifer continually presents new research at annual conferences across the continental United States.
Christina Schoener, EdS, NCSP
Christina graduated in 1989 from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She worked at a mental health facility providing counseling and social skills training to children and adolescents with various disabilities. She graduated from Rowan College of New Jersey in 1995 with a Master of Arts degree in School Psychology. She completed her certification as a New Jersey School Psychologist in 1997. She continued her education and training, earning an Education Specialist degree from Rowan University and becoming a Nationally Certified School Psychologist in 1999. Christina has been employed as a School Psychologist for 10 years. She has served on Child Study Teams, conducting psychological evaluations and performing case management. She has also provided counseling and behavioral interventions, both directly and through consultation. In addition she has conducted independent psychological evaluations for several years. She is a member of the New Jersey Association of School Psychologists and the National Association of School Psychologists.
Jan Horwitz, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.
Jan is a New Jersey Certified School Social Worker and a New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her MSW from New York University in 1979 and has over 15 years experience working in educational settings. Areas of expertise include social evaluations and assessments, case management, counseling, transition planning, problem solving and resourcing. She currently facilitates a support group for siblings of the developmentally disabled and has led support groups in bereavement at the high school level. Jan completed a certificate training program in Functional Behavioral Analysis from the Callen Institute of Ireland and a certificate program in developmental disabilities from Rutgers University. She currently serves as secretary and member of the Gloucester County Chapter of the New Jersey Association of School Social Workers.
